ALL I REALLY NEED TO KNOW I LEARNED FROM NOAH'S ARK

removed started this conversation

1. Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
2. Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something REALLY big.
3. Don't listen to critics -- do what has to be done.
4. Build on high ground.
5. For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
6. Two heads are better than one.
7. Speed isn't always an advantage. The cheetahs were on board, but so were the snails.
8. If you can't fight or flee -- float!
9. Take care of your animals as if they were the last ones on earth.
10. Don't forget that we're all in the same boat.
11. When the doo-doo gets really deep, don't sit there and complain -- shovel!!!
12. Stay below deck during the storm.
13. Remember that the ark was built by amateurs and the Titanic was built by professionals.
14. If you have to start over, have a friend by your side.
15. Remember that the woodpeckers INSIDE are often a bigger threat than the storm outside.
16. Don't miss the boat.
17. No matter how bleak it looks, there's always a rainbow on the other side.

in response to char6...   Children always learn from our influence, It's up to us to make sure those lessons are positive and not negative. You are making an impression on the children you are helping, and I am sure your fingerprint will remain on their hearts.
I think a ministry with children is one of the highest callings the Lord gives, and you are blessed that He has bestowed such an honor to you.
Keep up the Lord's work, and give them Jesus.

in response to susie's son...   Hi chris,
well said! All of our experiences are teachings and we have to try to learn from them. Many successful people have said that they are thankful for their failures, even if it was to learn what NOT to do next time. One thing that really helps me to learn is children. They speak in innocence and with out judgement unless they have been taught this by those influential in their lives. The parents of my students are always thanking me for helping them to understand things but I always tell them, Im the one here who is learning.
Prayers to you and Tori, hope that you are doing ok.
I havent been on much with so much working but hope to be back soon.
Love

 in response to char6...   Hi,
I think there is always a lesson in anything we experience and it is up to us to learn from each event in our lives. Knowledge comes through the experiences we have, and it is good if we learn from them in order to avoid having to to repeat some of our mistakes. It is also wise to learn from others and the Bible offers us a lot to learn if we take the time to study it and apply it to our lives.
Thanks for your encouragement. I hope all is well with you & your family.
GOD BLESS

Chris
this is awesome! Im learning more and more how important it is to have a certain outlook on life. Its far more important to look at things a certain way than to focus on the event itself. You always have inspiring words and I just wanted to pop in and say hello , Ive been gone a while with my family being very busy these pasts weeks but hope you are doing ok, hugs to you and Tori
talk to you soon
